Reggie Jackson, Hall of Famer and baseball icon, gives his account of how he went from one dynasty to another. His time with the Oakland A’s made him a 3x world series champion. His transition to the Yankees also build a dynasty with two instant World Series victories 1976 and 1977. But his time with the Yankees was bittersweet. A volatile team manager, team mates envy, and his messages being misconstrued through the press made Jackson an outcast. The name Mr. October carries great meaning because though he was experiencing such struggles off and at times on the field, Jackson is and will always be the MLB’s greatest playoff performer- which takes place in October every season.
